About this document

Thank you for choosing this McAfee product. This document contains important information about the current release. We strongly recommend that you read the entire document.

New features

Here is a list of features included with this release of the product.

McAfee MOVE AV Agentless

The Agentless deployment option integrates with VMware vShield 5.0 using VMware vShield Endpoint. This solution addresses the challenges of protecting your virtual environment and keeping it free of malware without an agent, resulting in easy deployment and setup.

Client pop-up redesign

McAfee MOVE AV Multi-Platform features a redesigned client pop-up for detection events. Simultaneous detections now appear grouped in one pop-up instead of an individual pop-up for each detection.

Licensing

The product extension contains a 90-day evaluation license. After 45 days, ePolicy Orchestrator administrators receive a reminder when they logon with the remaining evaluation days. Adding the license extension removes the reminder.

Windows 8 Beta and Vista

McAfee MOVE AV Multi-Platform now supports Windows 8 (beta) and Vista (32/64 bit) virtual machines.

McAfee MOVE AV Agentless includes Windows 8 (beta) support with these prerequisites:
VMware ESXi 5.0, Patch Release ESXi500-201112001 (2007680).
Windows 8 and ESX(I) installations.

For patch details and to download, see http://kb.vmware.com.
