Known issues

Known issues in this release of the software are described below:

  • Issue

The VirusScan® Enterprise for use with the SAP NetWeaver® platform 1.0.2 product does not support the VirusScan Enterprise remote console feature. The scanner displays in the remote console, but all options are disabled.

  • Issue

After local installation, a dialog may appear that prompts a reboot. This is caused by files that are shared with other VirusScan Enterprise products or by certain VirusScan Enterprise dialogs being open during the installation. The products will remain functional without having a reboot, and the prompt can be ignored. The reboot prompt does not occur during a silent installation, such as from an ePolicy Orchestrator deployment.

  • Issue

The user interface features for The VirusScan® Enterprise for use with the SAP NetWeaver® platform 1.0.2 product is not included in the "User Interface Items to password protect", found in the VirusScan Enterprise Tools menu, under User Interface Options.

  • Issue

The installation log (VSESAPSetup.log) for the VirusScan® Enterprise for use with the SAP NetWeaver® platform 1.0.2 is stored in [current user]%temp%, where [current user] refers to the user performing the installation.

  • Issue

However, there may be times when you want to install the product from the command-line with different parameters to change the default behavior. The following section provides the basic format for the command-line operation and also some common parameters.
    • Installing locally from command-line:

      setup.exe /S /v"<command-line options>"

    • Installing from ePO Deployment task (input in the command-line form field):

      /v"<command-line options>"

Where <command-line options> is a space-delimited set of valid MSI flags. For example:
